Beat the Bots. Get in Front of the Recruiter

Will an applicant tracking system or a human recruiter review your resume first? Either way, optimization is key.
ATS software scans for keywords from postings to filter applicants. So list relevant hard skills and qualifications prominently in bullet points at the top. This summarizes your fit.
If a recruiter reviews your resume manually, know they spend a few seconds per resume. Quantify achievements to grab attention fast. “Increased sales 35% over 2 years” packs a punch.
Focus on contributions, not duties. Explain how you’ll impact their needs specifically. Recruiters want value-add, not dreams.
Avoid a generic resume. Customize your top skills section for each job to reflect the required qualifications. No such thing as universally perfect.
The sole goal is an interview. Make the reviewer’s job easy. Showcase your relevant background prominently. You’ll stand out from the pack.
