it's Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. I'm back today with more advice for LinkedIn
users about job search career stuff along those lines and this video was a
reminder about using LinkedIn.. You've got a profile you joined for a reason.
What was that reason? Probably you wanted to stay connected with people You
thought of it from a job search perspective you ought to be on LinkedIn
because it's a way of finding a job.. You've done a bunch of stuff like that
But the thing I want to remind you about is once you have the profile you've got to
do stuff on LinkedIn you can't just sit there with the profile and complain that
recruiters aren't contacting you, talking with you about jobs when you're not
looking Virgil let's concede that point that's gonna happen after all that's
part of Lincoln's business model. They share LinkedIn recruiter to search
firms so they can search the platform to find people like you when they have a
job open that's how they make their money it's not by you sitting there but
what does serve you is when you use the platform you write you connect you
develop relationships with people you're doing stuff on the platform you monitor
jobs to see what's going on in your industry you read some of the stuff that
LinkedIn puts out about market conditions there are so many pieces of
information that you can glean very quickly on LinkedIn but if you're just
using it to complain about this one or that one you're wasting your time and if
you only wait until you're looking for a job to use LinkedIn you're gonna find it
just like a job board but if you actually use it to create a brand for
yourself to create a reputation for yourself online and with others suddenly
you discover quality opportunities come to you and that makes all the difference
I'm Jeff Albin that was another short piece of advice for you hope you found
this helpful.. Visit my website
There's a lot more there that can help you. Have a
great day and take care
