However the full quote is actually a compliment.

Yes, that WIlliam Shakespeare.
If you defensively describe yourself as “a jack of all trades” because you know the next line is a master of none, it is time to memorize the full quote and defend yourself.
And if you’re a third party #recruiter who has a candidate rejected for this reason, standup for them with the full quote and make sure you tell your client it was said about Shakespeare.
