Interviewers can smell your nervousness; they can pick up on it. They may hear it in your voice. They may hear it in your answer, your mannerisms, or the abrupt motions that just don’t seem to fit.
I just don’t think it makes sense to pretend to hide it. I think, if anything, they’re going to say things like, “Oh, that’s okay,” when you tell them, “I’m sorry, I’m a little bit nervous. This is my second interview and I really want to do well for you.” They’re just going to calm your nerves down and try and be kind to you.
And if every once in a while you have to pause for a second and take a deep breath and say, “Bear with me one second,” and then go back into the answer, they’re going to appreciate the fact that you tried to calm yourself down.
