I think you are wasting your time with this question. It’s better to notice the major verbal cue than this one. Even so, I answer the question but point out the problem with it.
I'm Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter.. I'm a coach who helps people
professionally with job search, hiring more effectively, managing and leading, a
whole host of different things and someone to ask me about nonverbal
signals that indicate that you're doing well on an interview. You're focused on
the wrong thing don't pay attention to nonverbal signals because it's gonna
distract you from answering questions it's going to distract you from
connecting with the interviewer you were so much better off paying attention to
the most important verbal signal that they give and . . . well, let me just back
up for a second. Nonverbal signals-- a smile, a small smile, a nod as you answer the question.
Well, you'll notice it at the beginning of the interview but what about later on when
they have a quizzical look on their face and you don't pick up on that here's the
most important signal to pick up on and that is the more they talk particularly
in the second half of the interview the more it's an indication that they like
you you're better off noticing when the conversation switches from them telling
you about the role in next steps about the role checking about your calendar
for the next interviews or whether you have anything else going on. Those are useful
signals but there was a verbal nonverbal you're wasting your time because as soon
as they become noticeable to you, you can do something to mess it up and they'll
come back and haunt you. I'm Jeff Altman. Hope you found this helpful.
