I have another 1 of those hedge fund brainteaser is for you.  It’s a math problem that requires a little bit of logic… It’s not that hard.

A 10 x 10 x 10 cube is painted red on the outside.  It is made up of individual 1 inch cubes.  How many of the cubes have red paint on them?

This starts off with the premise that all the outer facing cubes have paint and there are a bunch of interfacing one by one by one cubes don’t.  If you think for a 2nd, you realize that there is an interior 8 x 8 x 8 cube (whether individual cubes that had up to 8 x 8 x 8), which translates into 512 cubes of no paint.  That means there are 488 with paint because those provide the periphery to that inner cube.
