When the great Yankee teams would walk down to the field to play game, their uniforms being the only one in baseball with pinstripes and their success so well known, they had a huge advantage over the teams they played.
Their opponent was psyched out by them. After all, these were THE Yankees.
Sometimes, you may have the opportunity to meet someone professionally who has that image for you. They may be the ultra successful executive, the speaker, the entertainer or athlete.
They are just like you except they had been promoted in your mind to have “the pinstripes.”
There is no reason for them to occupy extra real estate in your mind.
As I’ve said before, winners find the way to win and losers find the way to lose. One of the ways that winners know that they’ll find a way to win is the belief and knowledge that losers will always find a way to lose.
