By Jeff Altman
In baseball, there are batters that hit for singles and batterers that swing for home runs.
Home run hitters are paid more.
A lot more.
Most people hit for singles, afraid of making an out if they swung for the fences.
Most home run hitters don’t have high batting averages but when they hit the ball it goes a long way.
The fans cheer for them.
The crowds go, “Ooh” and, “Ah,” even with their misses.
They tend to even have longer careers than the players who hit for singles.
Yet, people play it safe and try to hit a single.
At work.
At home.
They encourage their children to it singles so that they won’t get hurt.
We are trained to avoid mistakes and not to be sensational and accomplish sensational things.
You can change that.
