My son is applying for a scholarship for the school he will be attending in a few months and needs to ask a former manager to write a letter to support him.
“I’m uncomfortable calling him. I’ve texted him and he hasn’t responded.”
As adults, we may laugh at my Gen-Z son and his being uncomfortable making a call to someone . . . but all of us have that person or situation where we regress to being a young child and are afraid to make a call, send an email or do something we need to do.
Look for the opportunity to transcend those self-created limitations and move through them. Our power often comes from our willingness to do the hard things. Our failures from our fears.
