Recession-Proofing Your Career: Your Focus
Another attitude adjustment that’s important for you to make if you’re going to recession-proof your career is instead of going along with things, focus on delivering things world-class, be great. Don’t deliver mediocre results and make sure that people know that you’ve been focusing on delivering things world-class.
I choose those words very specifically, because so many people do just enough to deliver, but they don’t do it in a way that’s world-class, let alone make sure that people know it.
If you’re ordinary, there’s nothing special about you. You’re like everyone else, and you’re disposable. If you do things world-class, you’ve got a shot.
