Have you ever failed at something? Of course, you have. Everyone does.
As you already know, it isn’t about whether you fail it’s about how you recover from it and what you take from the experience.
When you think back in time, your parents failed at different things, your grandparents feel the different things, your great grandparents failed at different things, as far back as your family lineage goes, everyone experienced failure, yet they bounced back.
Your name reflects a proud heritage of people who failed and recovered. You don’t need to castigate yourself because you made a mistake. You don’t need to torture yourself because your manager criticized something you did.
You just need to learn the lesson from it (which may be that my manager is an idiot), recover from any ill feelings you have from yourself quickly and move on.
Focusing on winning, focus on the next opportunity, rather than constantly looking in the rearview mirror and trying to figure out the future based upon the past.
Live up to your name and your lineage.
