“What do you do if your manager lied on the reference, which cost you your job, pending on satisfactory references, my job offer was withdrawn due to unsatisfactory reference? I requested a copy of the reference, it said would you re employ this person and he checked no, and lied. The person who is named as the reference is not the person who typed this reference–manager put the higher managers name on it.”
What do I do?

The funny thing is, im still working for this company. Nobody has ever complained about me at work. As i said before i called in sick when i took voluntary over time a few times, not my job, but voluntary overtime, i have children they wete sick i coukdnt come, I called day before to let them know. But my manager said i called 1 hour before my shift or after my shift, to make me look bad, he said i joined as a full time employee, when i joined as a part time employee first then i went to full time because i liked it there, i was doing really well, even got a kudos letter, then he overworked us down to the ground, he was very rude said if you dont like it here leave, he kept saying things like that, it put me down, i used to come 1 hour early every day, i still do. I came home crying everyday till i thought why am i putting up with this, i asked to go back to part time weekends. But he changed around on my reference other way round, like im a bad person.
Great video hard to find info like this on Youtube. Thank you!
Most applications have some type of clause to not hold references/former employers liable for anything they say.
It isn’t enforceable if they lie about you
How can you find out what your references said about you?
Have someone call and act as though they are checking your references. However, I must tell you, you should have lined up your references at the beginning of your job search and not wonder
