How to Develop Your Unique Skills

LinkedIn offered this thought about how to do it: “Once you have identified your unique skills, you can work on developing them further. Opportunities to use your unique skills can be found in your current or previous jobs, or in new projects or tasks. Taking courses, workshops, or online programs can help you enhance your unique skills or learn new ones. Joining communities, groups, or networks that share your interests or passions can offer you support, feedback, or collaboration. Additionally, setting goals and tracking your progress related to your unique skills can help you celebrate your achievements.”
The Warning Sign of a Problem or That They Aren’t Sure
I replied, “From personal experience, I believe that most people need to cultivate their intuitive nature in contrast to their skills. For those who are intuitive, the reverse is true. But for those of us who are used to working in structured environments, finding places where your intuitive nature is awakened will help you express yourself more fully and connect with others as people. Too often, people think that if they give “the right answer” that is enough to be hired. Being willing to risk being yourself and trusting that the right organization will choose you is the way to show your unique skills . . . which is all of you.”
