We are often encouraged to, “Take it easy,” but taking it easy is probably the last thing most of you should do.
I find when I take it easy at the gym my muscles don’t get stronger my ability to sustain effort is lessened and flab starts to develop in places I would prefer not to.
The same thing happens at work when you take it easy.
Your ability to sustain effort diminishes, your desire diminishes and you start defaulting to the idea of doing the least amount of work possible.
You can be great at what you do.
You’ll be able to keep your eye out for opportunities the more you do hard things well.
Even if you don’t do them well, you can learn from the mistake and get better.
If you’re like most adults, you don’t like making mistakes and do everything to avoid them.
Putting yourself in the position to make a mistake and learn from is a hard thing because you stretched yourself beyond your comfort.
Do more hard things.
