Let me start by saying I don’t know what will be right for you. I just want to remind you that you have more than one choice.
Being practical usually means making the safe popular choice. I know at times in my life and in my career that was the right thing for me to do. Like when I got married and made the decision to put n hold the idea of becoming a therapist in private practice That was the right choice to have the home life I wanted.
Years later, I revisited the decision, got my wife’s buy-in and began a transition into coaching. My income was going to be structured differently, the work was going to be more inline with my desires in life and fit me better. It was not safe but right.
Being practical can change at different times in life. You can expose yourself and/or your family to greater or lesser risks depending upon where you and they are in your life.
You are the CEO and they are the Board of Directors. They shouldn’t be dictated to by the CEO. They should be involved.
