The Warning Sign of a Problem or That They Aren’t Sure
This month’s jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics is even worse than last month’s if that was even possible.
Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 150,000 in October, and the unemployment rate
changed little at 3.9 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Job gains
occurred in health care, government, and social assistance.
Notice, these are not jobs in the private sector. These are government jobs or funded by government.
Noticeable, to me at least, is a slowdown in leisure and hospitality where hiring is about a third of what it was in the previous month.
