War | Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter

We are not at war with that group in our company.

We are not in a war to hire talent

We are not at war with our colleague for that promotion.

We do not have to cut corners and cheat because we feel threatened.

Although your company may be fighting for every sale, although the market may be leaving you and your company behind, what it is signaling is that you’ve made mistakes that can be corrected.

You need to adapt to the market and give it what it wants or leave it to what it doesn’t know it wants as Steve Jobs did with the introduction of the iPod. After all, no one knew that they want a device that could hold one thousand songs until they had it.

The exquisite.

Make people smile when they think of you and what you offer.

No one really wants to be at war or in a war.

What they really want is to feel good.
