Who do you trust at work?
Do they really have your interests at heart?
The company’s?
Theirs?
What would make them flip on you?
If there is an internal resource that you have available to you (an EAP, a coach, a mentor), what would allow them to report a private conversation to someone else? Are you the client or is the company the client?
Who has access to their notes?
Companies often do a great job of seducing employees into being vulnerable and then betray their trust.
Be careful and ask questions before you open up to someone.
