Stick with the Script | Career Angles

I love the HBO series, “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” I marvel at how the cast is able to ad lib such great stories within the framework that Larry David creates for them.

Most people think they’re brilliant and believe they can do something like this. They can’t.

That’s where the problem comes in. When you think you have a talent and you don’t and make it up on the fly, you set yourself up for failure.

In those instances, you are much better off sticking with the script, staying on the path, coloring between the lines, whatever phrase you use to describe that, do it!

The script, the path, the lines all provide a framework that can lead to being successful.

Once you can work within the framework successfully, you can experiment beyond it.

How do you know that it’s time to experiment?

You’ll know . . . But it isn’t now.
