I haven’t spent any time with my brother and years but I’m visiting him and have learned something interesting. I can’t say he’s blind but he really does not see very much. He very much reminds me of my son when he was young and that he is learned to memorize what he hears and memorize things he has experienced so that he can navigate many situations.
But when he’s in new situations or large crowded ones, he has learned to ask for support. I was with them at the store as he asked where he could find celery and each of several other things.
His ability to navigate unfamiliar environments is a good lesson for you with situations that you may be in that are completely new.
