Rules are made to be broken, we are told, yet few people and few companies break rules.
They continue teaching their people to do what they are told but not that it is OK to break rules that are stupid or that interfere with the success of the firm.
Are you complying with rules that are keeping you numb and sending you home at the end of the day numb, dumb, anaesthetized to your misery.
You do realize that you are unhappy, don’t you?
Many people don’t realize it and suffer unnecessarily.
Find a rule that should be broken. Break it. You are taking a risk that Big Daddy Company or Big Mommy Company may be unhappy with you and even fire you.
Don’t ask permission. Break it.
Don’t cross certain lines unless you are prepared emotionally and legally for the consequences. Those consequences can be overwhelming because companies demand and expect docile workers who they can control.
Remember these words.
“I’m mad as hell. I’m not going to take it anymore.”
