LinkedIn Changed. You Need to Change Your Profile

LinkedIn made changes recently that change how you get discovered. Keywords are important but so is context. Let me explain.
LinkedIn Premium: Is It Worth It?
LinkedIn recently changed how people can find you on the platform and can be best exemplified by how LinkedIn Recruiter is now working. It now has an AI-assisted feature employing technology in different ways so recruiters can now avoid manual filters and paste in all their notes and paste in entire job descriptions into the search bar.
The AI is going to interpret the hiring intent and goals, matching candidates based on qualifications that are often difficult to define or are not explicitly listed on a resume, such as experience solving ambiguous problems or can lead large cross-functional work streams. This contextual understanding enables the AI to deliver better search results and provide a more thorough skill representation for people.
Now, what this means for you is you have to use these phrases now in your headline, in your About section, and in your Experience section on the platform and not just simply rely on keywords. It’s a big shift because we’ve all been trained to think in terms of keywords and now AI is shifting the focus to the full resume and the full context of your information.
