Incomplete Information | Career Angles

By Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter

Often, if you dig past the headlines to the full story, you discover that what’s being presented to you is partial information, incomplete information, half-truths, all designed to get clicks and manipulate attitudes.

The same happens at your workplace when someone laments some slight, whether it be their opinion is not acted upon, their manager says something that offends or some other bit of nonsense designed to play upon your feeling of empathy to victims.

Like a good meme, it plays upon your feelings and not your mind.

Dig into find out more before you give comfort to someone.

Find out up more about what really happened from the alleged perpetrator.

With memes, you’re being intentionally “played.”

With work colleagues, I don’t think of them as intentionally manipulating like a meme does but they’re manipulating nonetheless.
