If you’ve worked in sales, if you’ve worked in any part of the business, you know that there will be highs and lows.
The lows will be intensely painful.
The highs will usually be quick bursts before reverting to the norm.
The highs can carry you for a while.
The lows can destroy you.
All the while, is very important to keep your focus where it needs to be— moving ahead.
Like a runner who wants to know whether chief competitor is and makes the mistake of looking around instead of focusing on what it will take to win, your focus on what is ahead needs to be paramount.
That doesn’t mean you ignore the past, whether success or failure.
You can do that when you rest.
For now, look straight ahead of you and don’t allow yourself distraction.
