People confuse temporary defeat with failure.
They wallow in the defeat, pronounces themselves a failure.
It’s how the need for “perfection” (whatever that is) interferes with the idea of accepting excellence as being terrific.
I don’t know about you but I’m still learning things and will continue to make mistakes as long as I’m continuing to learn things.
I don’t know everything and can’t anticipate everything (by the way, the next time someone tells you that you should have anticipated some event from occurring, just tell them, “I didn’t anticipate the pandemic and I missed this, too).
Most of the time, we have not failed. We’ve experienced the temporary defeat.
Learned from it and keep going.
