In a world where everyone is presented as an expert, often it seems like you are the only person who isn’t.

What holds you back?

What keeps you from being successful in your work and in your career?

I was working with someone recently who is procrastinating about starting something that was important to him.

“Think back for a minute to a time when you were very young. Remember who the person is and what happened where you took that message on. Or the hardest things to remember is that, as a young person, your dependence on your parents and your love for your parents makes you believe some of the messages and rants they say, and often regret. Then we go act out our lives for the rest of her life as hurt little girls and boys who struggle under the burdens of those messages.”

You are as much an expert as the so-called experts who stand up on the stage, who present themselves in books and interviews and elsewhere.

The one thing you haven’t done is pay the price to be seen as one.
