Recruiters Are Not Your Friends
If you want to build a strong employer brand and attract more people to your organization, pay attention to a Duke University study that pointed out that your best people are often taken advantage of. Hmm, yes, they do great work. They work very hard and very effectively, they make no more money. And when they get things done, they just get more work.
The average person, the person who can be replaced easily, they’ve already figured this out. They do just enough to get by.
If you want to build a strong employer brand, stop taking advantage of your exceptional people. Stop overworking them to the point of their burning out so that this way you can attract and retain more people like them.
