ADP National Employment Report (released November 5, 2025) showed private-sector employment increased by 42,000 jobs in October. Annual pay was up 4.5% year-over-year for job-stayers and 6.7% for job-changers. This marks the first positive employment gain since July, following losses in August (-3,000) and September (-29,000).​

Key industry breakdowns:

• Education/health services and trade/transportation/utilities led job gains.

• Leisure and hospitality lost 6,000 jobs, raising concerns ahead of the holiday season.

• Manufacturing shed 3,000 jobs while construction added 5,000.

• Most new positions (33,000) came from service sectors; goods-producing sectors added 9,000 jobs.
