Accepting Help | Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter

As I listen to scientists being interviewed about the coronavirus, they point back to the outbreak of SARS in the early to thousands. At that time, China was opaque in its handling and information sharing about SARS. The result was it spread quickly and dramatically.

This time, with scientists permitted to do information sharing, the virus may still be spreading but vaccines are becoming available quickly to combat the outbreak.

Accepting help when you have a problem does it make you a bad employee or incompetent.

It is recognition that you need help in order to serve those that you’re supposed to be serving.

Don’t let your pride get in the way of what your mission is. Your mission is to provide service quickly and effectively through whatever means necessary (as long as it’s legal, of course). That doesn’t mean you have to do it personally.

You have been lied to if you believe that YOU are supposed to have all the answers. Not even Google has all the answers yet.

Your deluding yourself and causing harm if you act as though it’s your responsibility to do everything and know everything.
