Hi, I’m Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter and people hire me for no BS career advice. I often work with people during a job search which can be a very depressing process. No one’s getting back to you. You’re sending out resumes. Nothing is happening. No one’s calling to interview you. And even when you’re getting interviewed, you’re not getting invited back or if you’re getting invited back, eventually they ghost you.

You know, I want to remind you of something and that is, every storm runs out of water. Every storm runs out of rain. And like so much of our work life and professional life and our personal life for that matter, difficult times are going to change. There are obviously exceptions. You know, you can be terminally ill.

But for most things like a job search, like an issue at work, like so much of our life, they are impermanent. They will change. Like, you go to sleep, it’s dark; you wake up and it’s light. It will change. I can’t say it’s going to get better, but it’s going to be different than what it was before.
