There are many reasons why HR may be calling you and not all of them are bad. Let me offer you a few of them and what you should do.

Why is HR calling me after a final round interview and that's the question
for today. I'm Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. I'm a
coach who helps people professionally in many different ways . . .
and that's the question why is HR calling after the final round maybe it's
because they're the ones making the offer maybe they're courteous enough to
tell you you didn't get the job maybe someone has questions maybe they've
changed their mind and this isn't the final round interview and they want you
to talk to someone else. Maybe, there's going to be a delay in you being hired. There
are many reasons why HR might call you.. They don't all wind up being bad one-- in
particular the job offer may be good in the organization they may want to check
a reference. And, thus, they want to get your references from you, even get your OK to
check them whatever it is get back to them they're not wasting your time they
have a question for you they need to talk to you
