The Business Roundtable is a membership organization of 200 CEOs from the country’s largest firms. Business Roundtable reports that 1/3 of them expected to reduce hiring for next year. Two thirds expect it to be flat or slightly increased. Sales for them are going to be up 2.1%. And right now inflation is closer to four than it is to 2.1.

How much new spending do you think they’re going to authorize given this kind of climate, given the fact that there is a presidential election coming up. I don’t suspect a lot. And thus, it’s important to get support during this time and to really hustle to land the job. Otherwise, you’re at risk of losing your career.
