Welcome | Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter

When I walked into the Toastmasters meeting the first time, someone walked over to me and introduced themselves to me in an effort to try to make me feel welcome. I felt a little withdrawn, of course, and that they said and observed I could see that there is something I can learn from the speakers.

When someone joins your firm and comes in that first day, do you do your version of welcoming them to make them feel at home or are you that grouchy person who kind of barks a few words in the general direction?

Sometimes, success comes from enrolling people, not dictating to them.

You can enroll more people with honey.
