I'm Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. I'm a career and leadership coach, and I help people and organizations be more effective in a variety of different ways. This is one of those questions that could be asked of anyone on an interview. And I think it's a fun question, whether you're at a staff level or a very senior level. Think of it from the standpoint of an employer. What makes you excited about Mondays?

Now, what they're looking for is someone who loves what they do. And it's not just what you say, but how you say it that's important. So for example, if you sit there going, "what makes me excited about my day is," and you have that kind of a voice to you, you're not going to convince them that you really like what you do professionally. What you need to do is as soon as you hear the question, have a big smile on your face and a twinkle in your eyes and answer by going something along the lines of "Wthat makes me excited about Mondays is really very easy. I really like what I do. I'd like to do it in a different organization. But I like this, that, this, that." I've enjoyed the people I've worked with, I've tapped out where I am. And what makes me excited is going out there and solving a problem. Helping people be more effective."

You list two or three different things in quick succession, with some energy in your voice and some passion on your face. And even if you're an introvert, you've got your version of that. You don't have to be me. You just have to be a slightly more animated version of yourself with a smile on your face.
