What do people expect of you when I work with you or you work for them?

Are you happy with that perception of you in your value or is it something that hamstrings you into work you don’t want to do.

What is the impact that you make with your work?

Do you keep your promises or, invariably, do you have to backpedal and renegotiate what you deliver?

How do you appear in the world?

It’s one thing if people Google you and find information about you. It’s another thing to know you personally and can judge you based upon first-hand knowledge.

Why do you do what you do?

Don’t like it? Do something different.

You control your reputation. As Seth Godin says, if you don’t like how you are seeing in the world change it.

More importantly, is how you see yourself in the world. When you think about your impact when you think about what you are known for when you think about what you do day to day to make the world a better place, are you satisfied with what you notice?

If not, change it, too.
