Recession-proofing your career starts with a change in your attitude.

Recession-Proofing Your Career | Upskilling

Recession-proofing your career starts with an attitude adjustment. That is, you have to stop outsourcing your thinking to your employer and start looking out for it yourself.

Too many people think that their employer, the company that they work for, is looking out for them, too, when they really aren’t. They really are looking out for their own interests, not yours.

Acting like an employer does, being the chairperson of the board of your enterprise, with shareholders being your wife, husband, partner, the kids, the dog, the cat, whomever it is, you have to be the one in charge of your interests and not outsource it to them, because they don’t care as much as you should.

Stop listening to your manager who’s telling you that everything is good, because they don’t really know. There’s a lot more on my website, Go to the blog, and go exploring.
