LinkedIn Rollouts (5 🌊 ⤨ ⏳ ↑)

NEW LinkedIn Feature Rollouts usually follow a standard 5 🌊 Waves: ⤨ Randomized, ⏳Timed, & ↑ Increasing in Size, so that LinkedIn can evaluate, adjust, sometimes eliminate, and ultimately to reduce any negative impact, unpredicted loads or code collisions that might blow up the platform.

Historically, a clean rollout takes ~30 to 90 Days to complete but over the last few of years we have had rollouts that have taken over a year to complete, some never complete, and the feature is removed.

▲ (Jobs) tab added to Messaging. If you see the (Jobs) tab in your messages top nav line, then you have the ability to assign a message to that tab making it easier for #JobSeekers to organize these opportunities.

When you are in that message, click the (…) more icon and select from the dropdown (Label as Jobs). Then click the (Jobs) tab and you’ll see that message there. Revers the steps to remove it from the (Jobs) tab and put it back in your Messages flow.

What other (Tabs) would you like to see?

🧨 SSI (Social Selling Index) a tool designed to up-sale Members into purchasing SN (Sales Navigator) glitches out and drops the the overall scores almost in half for many who are performing well in the 1st (establish your brand) and 4th (Build relationships) measurements, the two catagories you can max out without having to pay for SN. It appeared that all (Build relationships) dropped to 7.5 and (establish your brand) dropped almost in half.

▲ [Top Voice], AKA the Blue [in] Badge, once an Annually Awarded status, is now Bi-Annually assessed every 6 months.

Once a member is invited to the Top Voices program, they will remain a Top Voice for at least six months, and are eligible for badge renewal as long as they continue to meet the core program requirements. LinkedIn may add and remove members outside of the typical admission periods at its discretion, and will remove Top Voice status from any member who does not consistently meet LinkedIn’s Professional Community Policies.

LinkedIn Top Voices are a select group of global experts, leaders, change-makers, public figures and innovators on LinkedIn. The program is designed to recognize members who consistently demonstrate expertise and leadership in their respective fields in ways that educate, inspire and inform the larger community. Active members of the Top Voices program receive a blue badge on their profile identifying them as an expert on the platform.

Fancy Fonts blocked from being added to Profile [Headline]s. My opinion why:Not only are Fancy fonts not indexable by search engines, including [in]’s own internal search & ranking assets, they pose several security risks:

► Malicious Font Files: Fonts can be used to spread malware, viruses, or Trojan horses. When you download & install a font, you may inadvertently introduce malware into your system.

► Cross-Site Scripting (XSS): Some font generators may inject malicious scripts into your website, allowing attackers to steal sensitive information or take control of your website.

► Font Rendering Engine Vulnerabilities: Font rendering engines can be susceptible to hacking, allowing attackers to exploit vulnerabilities & gain access to your system.

► Data Leaks: When you use external font resources, your visitors may leak information to the third-party host as their browsers request the resources in the background, posing privacy concerns.

If you ever wondered why anyone would go to the expense to create & maintain a Fancy Font generator for free or included as part of an app, think about the above.

How well do you really know that architect & what they want to accomplish?

Where else will [in] ban Fancy Fonts and are they actively suppressing those who use them?

If you use Fancy Fonts, you might ask yourself has my [in] presence decreased?

(Profile appearances) added to the Analytics page and refer to the instances where your name and headline appear across LinkedIn. This can happen in various places such as your feed post, comments or when you appear in Search results. The more frequently your profile appears, the higher your visibility. More visibility can lead to more opportunities, as it means there are more places for people to see/discover you on the platform.

This metric will be further broken down into (All appearances) and (Search appearances) each with their own number with a corresponding▲ or ▼ % past 7 days.

(Profile views) on the other hand, indicate the number of times someone has visited your profile. This helps you understand who is taking a deeper interest in your professional background, skills, and experiences. The Who’s viewed your profile page displays your recent profile visitors (subject to their settings). This feature is available to all members, but only Premium members can unlock the full list of viewers.
