Hi, I'm Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter and I don't know how I'm going to get through this one without crying so I'm not going to I'm just going to cry if that's necessary. I do this show regularly talk about some element of life, the universe and everything.
I wanted to do it yesterday, but I couldn't pull it together to do it. Is based upon parts of the Kurt Warner's Hall of Fame induction speechthat was done this Saturday night (NOTE: It was adone a year ago () ) .If you haven't seen it watch on YouTube. It doesn't matter which one you watch. Warner has an incredible story. I'm just going to pulled from the very end of the speech and allow you to just watch it if you're not familiar with it.
What he says at the end of his speech is . . . And this is a couple of different paragraphs that I'm excerpting from . . . He says, "We don't get to choose the nature of our moments and we don't get to choose the substance of our moments. Where we getto choose is what we do with those moments.
So, he encourages people to, "Sseize your moments . . . That moment with your kids, your spouse, your siblings ,with your friends, your teammates and, in his case as a football player, his players. Knowing the backstory to his life makes it that much more touching that he could stand there and deliver this speech and he did.
as a guy who bagged groceries, ran out of money and just got lucky to have an opportunity with people who looked out for him. Enjoy watching the video or reading the speech. As you can tell from my voice, for me. It was very touching.
Again, Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. Look for the moments in your life and seize them as he did.
Have a great day. Take care.
