It’s Never Enough

My son was 18 and received his first check from his new job in New York. He was excited. He texted, “Not to be dramatic but I got VERY paid.”
He was clearly excited and moved into his first apartment on his own (with parental support, of course).
When was the last time you felt really that excited? If you are like most people, it has been a long time since you felt that way.
How can you recreate that feeling at work? At home with your family? With friends? Do you even talk to friends anymore or have any outside of that person you wave to when they drive by your home or nod to at the elevator? What would help you get excited about being paid again?
