Frustration

This morning, I logged into online banking and discovered a withdrawal that I had not authorized. It also seemed as though it was a credit card from this bank that I do not have with this bank.

As I picked up my phone and called the bank, I felt the pressure in my body grow, knowing that was going to be a process to get this solved, even though I bank with “America’s most convenient bank.”

Unfortunately, I was right.

Customer service was not able to serve me. As a matter of fact, the department that was supposed to serve me at America’s most convenient bank didn’t open for another two hours.

I felt frustrated holding in the anger I felt.

Frustration is a form of anger that often comes from powerlessness to change things in the moment.

As we hold in the anger, it creates a form of suffering that I wish I knew how to dispel. It conjures up memories of past times when fear hurts so badly.

Breathe.

That’s what I’m doing now.

Breathing.

Just trying to return to the moment by breathing.

Just trying to stay present and breathing.

Being angry won’t change anything, especially when I directed myself.

Time will be wasted and that sucks. But there’s no reason to allow yourself to feel pain.

Breathe.
