Feedback Is a Two-Way Street
By Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter
LinkedIn offered advice for employers about their hiring process. “Feedback is a two-way street, and candidates should also have the opportunity to give feedback to the employer about their hiring experience. This can help you identify and address any issues or gaps in your process, as well as to learn more about the candidate’s needs, expectations, and motivations. You can solicit feedback from candidates through surveys, interviews, or reviews, and use the feedback to improve your hiring practices, policies, and culture. You should also thank candidates for their feedback, and show them how you are using it to make positive changes.”
30 Prompts You Can Use To Have An AI Assistant Help With Your Job Search
I commented, “Were it possible to provide suggestions and know they were implemented, rather than used as a fake process where change is never implemented! Let’s start with the language. These are not “candidates” or “applicants.” They are people. Objectifying people into these terms takes humanity away from them and helps foster the attitudes that permit the ill-treatment people receive when meeting with you and your firm. Start with something simple like that and see how willing your organization is to make the change before trying to graduate to anything else.”
