10 Things You Can Do to Make a Difference in Your Career

Now people hiring me for no BS job search coaching and career advice globally because I make finding work and being successful in your work much easier.

First, find a comprehensive overview of your target industry by searching for reputable sources that provide insights into the industry size, growth, major players and key trends. industry specific websites, associations, and reports are invaluable.

Second, analyze the job market within your chosen field. Look for data on job openings, demand for specific roles and the geographical distribution of opportunities. Government labor reports and job search websites can be very useful tools.

Third, look for professional associations or organizations related to your new career or potential employer. They often provide valuable resources including industry news, networking events, and research reports, as well as members who work at these firms.

Fourth, if you have specific companies in mind, dig into their websites and online profiles. Learn about their culture values and current job openings.

Five, LinkedIn is very powerful for professional networking and research. Follow relevant companies, join industry groups and connect with professionals in your desired field. Find someone who works for the firm you’re interviewing with and ask about the interview process or have them refer you so they can earn an employer referral bonus. X and Facebook can also provide insights and connections. Examine the background of the person or people you’ll be meeting with in advance.

Six. Many universities and educational institutions offer free or low-cost online courses related to various industries. They can be excellent for skill development.

Seven, find industry-specific blogs, YouTube channels, and podcasts. Many professionals share their expertise and experiences through these mediums, offering practical insights and advice aid.

Stay up to date with industry news and publications. Subscribe to trade magazines, journals, newsletters, relevant information to your new career, or your existing industry in general. They often provide in-depth analysis and information on the latest developments.

Get a realistic perspective of working in the field by reading reviews and testimonials from people working in your desired field.

Consider purchasing or accessing market research reports. These reports often provide extensive data and analysis if you have an online brokerage account. Often there is research available about specific firms.

Identify professionals who are currently successful in your target career, analyze their career paths and skills, reach out to them through LinkedIn and speak with them.

Last, be aware of online scams and fraudulent job opportunities, research companies and job postings to ensure that they are legitimate. Too good to be true is a good way of alerting you through a possible scam.
