Becoming a Brand | Career Angles

When you go to the store to buy detergent, do you make the rational decision of which brand to purchase?

“WOW! The interrelationship between the chemicals in this product will make my wash cleaner than this one!”

No. You make the purchase based upon price, a coupon, maybe what your wife/husband or partner prefers, rather than whether one detergent is better than another.

The decision is based on an impression.

When you ignore the possibility of making yourself a brand that can cut the line in peoples’ thinking about you and just rely on whether your work is better than someone else’s, it is a harder road.

Make it easy on yourself.

Make yourself a brand and cut the line in people’s mind.
