Jeff- I made a post that linkedin and networking doesn’t do much for local government. Management analyst, records coordinator, case management type positions with local (county/city) government. I live in a place that I am a minority, many people in govt are related here. I live in a poor, dumpy southwestern state that nepotism is the rule, not marginalized. outsiders are disliked. But I am here, any advice? Its the polar opposite of the east coast. Stupid, desert, hire your family mentality, avoid outsider mentality that is endemic here. I want to move, can’t , taking care of elderly family. So what can I do?
