We all have our place where we are like Charlie Brown being fooled by Lucy as the holder for the football.
For me, I am a New York Giants football fan. Every year, there are new draft picks, new stories in the press and the same putrid results . . . losing teams.
I have progressed to the point where I can say to myself, “It’s pre-season. Let’s see what happens when the season starts.”
Many of you listen to colleagues, managers, employers, business partners and others who promise the moon and look at you as a fool afterwards.
And how do you feel afterwards?
Is it like Charlie Brown?
What can you do to keep from committing to something where you smell something might be fishy and don’t allow yourself to wind up landing on your backside with the football pulled away again?
How can you stop allowing yourself to be fooled?
