What happened to the life in you at work?

How to get sucked out of you?

If you feel like you are going through the motions, if you feel the feeling of perpetual malaise every day of your life at work, first start by trying harder at doing a great job before you start looking for something else.

I remember being with the group many years ago and one of the members wanted to leave after five years. We discussed his gripes and grievances and then proposed that he put in more effort.

“Give more. Get more.”

That you probably be your motto to.

Get into motion and take some action. Settling for mediocrity becomes a habit. Don’t allow yourself to be ordinary anymore. Eclipse everyone else, even your manager if need be.

Some people may accuse you of foul things in an effort to have you slow down or regress to their level of mediocrity. Run from them. Be great. Stop settling. Be the best person in your department and don’t worry about the accusations of others. Their jealousy is getting the best of them and you can model excellence and perhaps have them join you as high potential people.

You will come back to life.
