This scenario is Mom is a geriatric person who physically is limited in terms of what she can do. She is not able to be on her feet so she can’t be a greeter. What kind of work can Mom do that's can be helpful where she can make some money and not have to physically challenge herself?

Let’s put aside just “the Mom scenario,” and say what can you do? How can you find some work along these lines? The answer is there are two websites that I think it be helpful.

The first one, the larger what is The other one is

I would be clear, I am not promoting affiliate links or anything like that. What these two sites do is allow individuals to do work is on the side, freelance work of a variety of different forms that could be helpful to supplement your income.

Yes, you are competing with people who are overseas. No question about that. Yes, you are people who are willing to work for money that you are not willing to work for. Like that’s any different in America, right? The numbers our different. You can see rates ridiculously low by US standards but, so what? There are many instances where people want to hire individuals in their native country who speak their language, understand their culture, to do specific tasks.

So, whether you are a retired technologist, you are a retired administrative assistant, retired whatever, there are opportunities available to you through upwork and freelancer to supplement your income. So, for grandma or grandpa there, who just isn't mobile but has computer skills, it is a perfect venue to supplement your income now that you need some additional money because Social Security isn’t going to be able to care you.
